Established as a construction company in 1982, Shafa is known today as a specialized design-and-build marine and infrastructure construction company.

Under the leadership of our founder and Chairman, the company has diversified and established sustainable agricultural businesses since 2015, with a key focus on sustainability and resilience across all its subsidiaries.

Established in 1982 under the leadership of founder and current chairman Mr Abdoshamakh Nasser Alshebani, Shafa has gradually expanded from a small subcontractor with fewer than 20 employees to a major international player with over a thousand employees. With the skills and expertise we have gained over 35 years, we offer the best and most competitive services to our clients.

We are headquartered in Dubai, UAE, and operate in seven countries across three continents.

Concrete & construction

Shafa Ready Mix

Shafa began its operations as a high-quality supplier of concrete in 2003. Since then, we have embarked on various high-capacity projects. We have set up on-site concrete batching plants in many countries around the world, some in remote locations, and developed a team of experts and contacts who deliver concrete to client needs and specifications. We also have in-house laboratories to ensure the concrete is produced to the highest standards of quality.

Staying mindful of our environment, we make every effort to ensure that dust and noise emissions are controlled, while water is recycled and any waste concrete is either reused in on-site works or disposed of safely. Our main commercial plant is located in Dubai Maritime City.

Bespoke carpentry

Since Shafa’s formation as a small subcontractor, carpentry and woodwork have always been part of our trade. The skill set, knowledge and know-how have been developed in-house over the years. This has served our known clients and our own projects as an in-house division. With the growing demand for our in-house carpentry for bespoke and specialized works, the time has come to make our workshop an entity of its own.

With the growing demand for quality halal poultry in the UK, Shafa Holding has acquired one of the oldest 100% halal facilities located in Warwickshire, United Kingdom. Shafa has completely transformed the processing plant with new efficient processing lines equipped with the latest technology in the industry today. The factory’s capacity has more than doubled from the previous capacity to cater for the demand of our existing and new customers with 100% high-quality halal HMC-certified products, making us the UK’s largest non-stun, non-gas halal processing facility.

Shafa has integrated portioning and added-value packing to have complete integrated processing at one facility catered to our clients’ needs. This eliminates unnecessary transport and, with the combination of efficient machinery, reduces the company’s carbon footprint emissions. Visit our website to find out more.

Shafa Agro is our subsidiary established in the northern highlands of Iringa, Tanzania. A clear distinction from Shafa’s general manufacturing and construction industry, Shafa Agro is our concrete commitment to the earth and contribution to the sustainability of our world, specifically in Africa.

Our concept is to establish a sustainable and self-sufficient, world-class food supply chain in Africa derived from soil and soil quality. With the infrastructure for water security and feed security, we are here to make and lead sustainable change in the farming industry. We strive to become the foundation and a benchmark of African farming in the animal feed industry, poultry industry, dairy industry and livestock, creating a sustainable and efficient supply chain for Tanzanian farmers and being a pivotal part of our region’s food security and socioeconomic growth.
